The Ritual Killer (2023) movie summary
The thriller genre film entitled The Ritual Killer tells of a detective and a professor who hunt for a killer. In the film The Ritual Killer, the murderer mutilates the victim for another crime motive. The Ritual Killer shows the world's hapless people behind the law enforcement that rightly backs it up.
Detective Mario Lavazza (Guiseppe Zeno) and his team have uncovered a gruesome crime scene in Rome. At the crime scene was a young woman who had been brutally tortured ceremonially. The killer mutilated several parts of his body.
Meanwhile, in another location, Mississippi - United States, Detective Lucas Boyd (Cole Hauser) and his partner, Detective Kersch (Murielle Hilaire), are on duty. Their task is to raid a hotel room of a pervert holding a girl and prepare to escape.
Detective Boyd kills a paedophile, and several other bodies belonging to minors are found. Afterwards, Boyd's entire department begins to pester him with questions about the situation. (*No justice was created after the rescue scene. Detective Kersch just took the girl away, and there was no follow-up of what happened to the girl.)
In the story, Boyd encounters a Ritual Killer following an African black magic ritual called Muti. He then enlists the help of Professor Mackles (Morgan Freeman), who teaches at Millsaps College.
Mackles introduces Boyd and his students to an unfamiliar way of life, which is darker and more primitive than what they are accustomed to. But instead, Boyd notices a strange pattern in the killer's behaviour: Each time he disposes of a body, he removes some of its appendages.
Boyd decides to take Mackles to the crime scene so he can learn more about the strange writings. Mackles discovers that they are written in Swahili, and from them, it appears that Randoku (Vernon Davis), was praying for some kind of great power, a power that would help him achieve anything in the world. (OMAAGAAHH...ISTG, The former NFL player just took my attention in this movie! 🙌)
Boyd and Lavazzi learn that the witch doctor Randoku is called a Sangoma, who uses herbs and other natural remedies to treat his patients. However, Randoku has a dark side: he makes medicine called Muti from human body parts.
Muti is used to cure any disease, but it became notorious in 2010 when people began killing young children to make Muti. Professor Mackles says that Sangomas use this medicine to transfer power to others.
The Ritual Killer (2023) Review
Before you read further this brief review, please keep in mind that each movie preference depends on the audience and this is just my unbiased opinion.
It is amazing to see Davis run fast and jump very agilely. But, the narration could be better as it is a bit disjointed, making the story awkward. It is quite strange there are so many random flashback scenes about the inner sadness of the main character that entirely influences the main plot. Runtime is already burdened because of the emergence of exposition and fillers, which are considered unnecessary.

Breitling launched its Aerospace model in 2013. The Navitimer is available in either titanium or a two-tone version that pairs titanium with gold. The Aerospace timepiece highlights a chronograph accurate to 1/100th of a second and has an alarm-timer, GMT function, and a calendar. One interesting feature is the minute repeater, which tells the time via "auditory signals".
You can use a single crown to control all the watch's functions. When you change between functions or adjust the watch, you make changes based on whether the crown is in or out and how quickly or slowly you turn it.
There are a few things that can be tricky about this watch. The first is knowing the difference between a "slow twist" and a "quick twist". To activate the backlight, you turn the crown slowly while in timekeeping mode; however, turning it too quickly will change your watch setting instead of turning on the light. Setting the countdown timer is also tricky; you must press a button while simultaneously turning the crown.
The DLC-coated titanium case is light, slim and comfortable to wear. Its turned-down lugs make the watch seem smaller than its 43mm diameter indicates. The strap is surprisingly comfortable. Particularly when paired with the DLC-coated titanium clasp. It's also easy to make small adjustments to the bracelet.
In addition, Breitling's current models have a SuperQuartz calibre quartz movement. This is a COSC-certified chronometer. Breitling claims that the SuperQuartz calibres are 10x more accurate than the average quartz movement.
